DTEK Renewables installed an autonomous solar power supply system for the Ukrainian military

DTEK Renewables provided assistance in the purchase and installation of equipment in one of the military units of southern Ukraine with an autonomous power supply system and a heating system that operate on solar electricity. The assistance was provided as part of the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

First of all, during the implementation of the project, the company installed a solar power plant with a capacity of 24 kW, which became a source of electric power for the living quarters and the surrounding area.

Also, electrical wiring, heaters, a stove for cooking, inverters, and batteries were installed in the barracks. Energy-saving LED lights with motion sensors are installed outside.

Batteries have become an important element of energy supply, which provide backup electricity in hours when there is no or not enough sun to generate solar electricity.

All the installed equipment allows the system of lighting, heating, water supply, battery recharging to work in automatic mode, autonomously, without the intervention of individual specialists, and also regulates the frequency of the network.

The company implemented this project in cooperation with the state authorities of the region, in order for the military men to feel comfortable in the location and not be distracted by the issue of providing for their livelihood so that they could focus on the performance of directly assigned tasks.
