DTEK Renewables represents a fully integrated corporate platform with development, construction, M&A, financing, operations and asset management

Established in 2008, DTEK Renewables is a wholly owned subsidiary of DTEK B.V, which performs the company’s development strategy and the construction and operation of renewable energy generation projects. It is operated as a managerial, financially and legally independent business entity from other DTEK Group companies.

DTEK Renewables is one of the largest Ukrainian producers of green energy with the longest operating track record of utility scale wind and solar power plant operation. Having invested more than EUR 1 bn in wind and solar projects, the company’s installed capacity and workforce amounts to 950 MW and 216 employees, respectively.

In November 2019, DTEK Renewables has successfully issued green bonds totaling EUR 325mln (8.50%, 5-year maturity) to finance clean power projects. It is the first Ukrainian company to issue specialized securities to fund renewable energy development.

This placement was a landmark debut for the company, the region and the sector. It allowed DTEK Renewables to become a pioneer in the Ukrainian renewable market, set up its first EUR benchmark, further diversify its debt portfolio and secure financing for its existing pipeline of high-quality renewable projects from the global capital markets.
