Tryfonivka Energy, a subsidiary of DTEK Renewables, and JSB Ukrgasbank have signed a loan agreement worth EUR 7.1M. The money is intended to fund the construction of Tryfonivska SPP in Velyka Oleksandrivka District of Kherson Region. The loan is issued for 7 years.
Construction of Tryfonivska SPP with the capacity of 10 MW will be completed in 2017. Its energy output will amount to12M kWh annually. When put into operation, the power plant will supply electric power to more than a third of Velyka Oleksandrivka District in Kherson Region. Tryfonivska SPP is DTEK’s pilot project in solar energy, and its results will form the basis for the company’s strategy in this segment of renewable energy.
“An increase of the renewable energy share is part of the Ukrainian energy strategy. Participation of state banks in funding “green” projects demonstrates the importance of renewable energy development in our country,” said Viktoria Syromiatova, Director of DTEK Renewable Energy Business.
