DTEK Renewables as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front initiative handed over tactical first aid kits, power banks, sleeping bags and sleeping mats for the needs of the military.
“DTEK Renewables continues to keep abreast of the needs of the military. This time we handed over everything necessary so that our military could comfortably relax once they have an opportunity of those rare minutes for rest,” says Oleg Solovey, director of DTEK Tyligulska wind power plant. The humanitarian aid has also been delivered to the evacuation centers in Mykolayiv. “We keep on supporting people who were forced to look for temporary shelters in Mykolaiv and the region. In order to equip the evacuation centers in Mykolaiv, we handed over the first necessities - warm blankets, bed linen and other important items” added Oleg Solovey.
Reminding that from the beginning of russia's invasion to Ukraine, DTEK Renewables has provided dozens of humanitarian aid to Mykolaiv region. Among the items delivered to Mykolaiv, Kobleve and Berezanka local communities are large batches of medicines, food products, building materials for renovation of living quarters, large water barrels and an autonomous water purification system, electric generators, goods for military and other things.
"Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front" is an initiative that united all the military assistance of Rinat Akhmetov's SCM business for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other security officials, doctors and others. Within the initiative, DTEK provides free electricity supply to critical infrastructures and hospitals; Metinvest develops and purchases protective ammunition and equipment. The amount of military and humanitarian aid of the companies now amounts at UAH 3.5 billion.
