The state policy regarding the recovery and development of the energy sector of Ukraine in the post-war period requires a unified strategic approach.
This was one of the themes of the discussion "Restoration and development of renewables after the war", which took place on November 15th with the participation of representatives of industry associations, lawyers and market participants.
Thus, the manager of regulatory activities at DTEK Renewables Ihor Retivov reported that potential investors in the energy sector of Ukraine lack an understanding of the goals that the state sets for itself.
In particular, state documents on energy policy (energy strategies, plans, etc.) are not coordinated among themselves and often have different target indicators, because they had been elaborated by different state institutions.
"We should have a single state strategy or other document. However, it should be uniform for all bodies and institutions; it ought to be accepted and implemented by all – from state institutions to the very energy companies," Ihor Retivov emphasized.
He also added that a stable and predictable regulatory field is extremely important for investors and for attracting large funds to Ukrainian energy industry.
