Since the beginning of 2024, DTEK Renewables has resumed implementing social partnership programmes with Berezanska and Kobleve territorial communities in Mykolaiv region.
Back in January, the company financed one project for each of the communities. Thus, responding the request of the Kobleve community, the company purchased a solid fuel boiler for the Anatolivka village lyceum to replace the one that had broken down. The company also financed the replacement of windows and doors with energy-efficient ones for the Krasnopillya lyceum in Berezanka community. At the end of spring, the works at the lyceum were completed, and the company started a second project in the same village - the repairs of a water supply system in two streets.
Another project was recently implemented in the village of Anatolivka, where a module for water purification equipment was installed. A modern module was purchased at the expense of one of DTEK Renewables' enterprises, the reverse osmosis water purification system provided by the Kobleve Village Council. The community has also improved the surrounding area: laid a path, built a ramp for people with disabilities and mothers with strollers, and decorated the area with flower beds. Now the residents of Anatolivka can get clean drinking water for their own needs free of charge.
‘Continuous support of communities is one of our company’s important activities as a socially responsible business. We are interested in the development of the regions of DTEK Renewables’ presence despite the war and the current difficulties. This year, we are trying to implement most of the social projects envisaged by the social partnership programmes,’ says Oleg Solovey, Deputy CEO for Operations at DTEK Renewables, ’We focus on important projects for people, such as improving conditions in schools and providing access to clean drinking water. Since the beginning of the year, we have already financed more than UAH 2.5 million for their implementation. There are other projects ahead that can be implemented in close cooperation with communities. Therefore, we thank the communities for their active cooperation and trust.’
The implementation of social projects continues in other regions. For example, a new sports and children's playground will be installed in the village of Bruskinske of the Velyka Oleksandrivka village council in Kherson region. The equipment for the playground was also financed by DTEK Renewables. In the Nikopol district of Dnipro region, communities identify priority projects based on the situation in the region.
