In June, representatives of the Pryazovske village community who left the temporarily occupied territory for Zaporizhzhya and other cities of Ukraine received humanitarian aid from DTEK Renewables and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
Thus, residents of Pryazovske village community of Zaporizhzhya region who moved to Zaporizhzhya city received 1,000 food kits at the “Green Center” in Zaporizhzhya. Having received the packages, the people of the community did not leave their fellow villagemen who had moved all over Ukraine in need, and sent them humanitarian aid from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation via Nova Poshta.
In addition, DTEK Renewables purchased and donated 7,000 units of hygiene products needed for everyday life.
Oleksandr Selyshchev, CEO of DTEK Renewables, said: "Currently, all the communities in Zaporizhzhya region where DTEK Renewables wind farms are located are under temporary occupation. Therefore, a large number of local residents were forced to leave their homes and seek shelter in Zaporizhzhya and other cities of Ukraine. DTEK Renewables, being a socially responsible company, does not leave people alone with difficulties and provides them with support. I believe that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will soon liberate the russian-occupied territories and we will be able to resume the operation of the wind farms to generate electricity for Ukraine, and the communities will return to peaceful life at home."
Also, with the support of DTEK Renewables, the people from Pryazovske village community have set up a "Point of invincibility" in Zaporizhzhya where temporarily displaced people can get the necessary consultations and at the same time recharge their mobile phones, drink tea or coffee, and heat up a meal. To equip the center, DTEK Renewables purchased and handed over a portable charger with a solar panel, a microwave oven, several electric kettles and a gasoline generator to the community.
Andriy Solopov, head of the Pryazovske village community: "DTEK Renewables is helping the people of Pryazovske in difficult times. More than 300 families from different parts of our community received food and hygiene kits from the company. I hope that very soon our people will return home and develop our community under the peaceful Ukrainian sky."
Since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, DTEK Renewables has been providing systematic humanitarian assistance to communities where the company's enterprises are located or where Ukrainians internally displaced from the temporarily occupied territories live in large numbers.
Since 2014, the Foundation has provided 13 million food packages to Ukrainians. Over this time, the help from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM businesses and Shakhtar football club has reached more than 18 million people.
