Potlavska Wind Farm paid UAH 1.5 million to Globyne community for land lease

Poltavska Wind Farm being prepared for construction paid UAH 1.5 million to the budget of Globyne community for the lease of the land plots of communal property. Since the start of 2025, monthly lease payments of the company increased by 16 times compared to the previous year.

Payments grow as per resolution of the Globyne Municipal Council. In this respect, the lease payment rate for the use of land plots was set at 3% of the standard monetary value of the land as from 1^st January 2025.

Due to continued implementation of the Poltavska Wind Farm Project, the community budget is being monthly replenished by UAH 427 thousand from payment for the lease of communal property land. Totally UAH 1.3 million was accured for the first 5 months of 2025.

For comparison, in 2024, the company made lease payments at 5% of the standard monetary value of a unit of arable land in Poltava region which was about UAH 27 thousand per month. In course of cooperation in 2024, such payments totalled UAH 194.5 thousand.

The change in the land use designation to energy land was a key factor behind the significant increase in rental income. The standard monetary value of a unit of arable land in the region is about UAH 35 thousand per hectare, while the value of energy land is ten times higher - UAH 800 thousand per hectare.

As of June 2025, the company has already signed lease agreements for 121 communal land plots with a total area of 213.4 hectares. To fully implement the project, it is necessary to register the right to use or own land plots with a total area of 400-450 hectares.

Poltavska Wind Farm Project envisages installation of the wind turbines with total capacity of 650 MW. Its construction is essential for the strengthening energy security of Ukraine’s Left Bank area.
