Pokrovske village community in the Nikopol district received three power generators and another batch of food products from DTEK Renewables. Humanitarian aid was arranged within the "Saving Lives" project, created at the beginning of the war by DTEK and Metinvest in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
Powerful Mitsui three-phase diesel power generators with automatic start-up will be installed in the points of invincibility in Pokrovske village community in the villages of Prymiske, Pokrovske and Novosofiiivka. In total, the work of the points of invincibility covers up to 7 thousand residents.
DTEK Renewables also delivered food products for the formation of another 2,000 sets for local residents of the most vulnerable groups of the population - the elderly and people with disabilities, large families and families of the fallen soldiers. These are the products necessary for any household: wheat flour, sugar, salt, rice, pasta, stewed meat and pate, canned vegetables and cookies.
"We keep our finger on the pulse of the communities' needs, and help as much as possible. Today, Nikopol region is under the constant enemy fire. The destruction of energy infrastructure facilities leads to temporary power outages, and installing powerful generators in the points of invincibility will help people charge mobile phones and power banks, have a cup of hot tea and partially solve other household problems. The company also recently donated a large batch of food for those people who cannot buy food themselves. We are glad that the aid from DTEK Renewables helps those who need it the most," says Volodymyr Shulyatsky, director of DTEK Nikopol solar power plant, which is located on the territory of the community.
Three weeks earlier, 6,000 food kits from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK Renewables were delivered to Pokrovske village as part of the "Saving Lives" project. Food kits were also distributed among the most needy residents of the Pokrovske village community.
In total, more than 425,000 Ukrainians have already received assistance within the "Saving Lives" humanitarian project. These are products, hygiene products and medical equipment for hospitals.
