DTEK Renewables has funded the installation of seven modern energy-efficient windows in the surgical wing of the Berezanka Central District Hospital. This project was a natural continuation of the major roof renovation completed in spring 2025 with financial support from DTEK Renewables.
“Our approach is not about one-off donations — it’s about long-term, systematic cooperation with communities. We don’t just fix roofs or install windows — we create safe, comfortable conditions for the people who save lives every day,” said Oleh Solovey, Deputy CEO for Operations at DTEK Renewables. “Thanks to efficient resource management, we were able to implement both projects — the roof and the partial window replacement. This is a strong example of effective collaboration between business and local authorities.”
The roof renovation project resulted in savings of UAH 149,304 from DTEK Renewables’ allocated funds. These savings allowed for the installation of seven new windows. An eighth window was installed by Perspektyva Management Company LLC as a partner contribution to the project.
The new windows improve the energy efficiency of the surgical unit, where more than 40 medical professionals work every day to provide care for residents of the Berezanka and Kobleve communities.
“In these difficult times, support for our hospital is not just help — it’s a sign of trust and belief in our work,” said Vasyl Haidarzhi, Director of Berezanka Central District Hospital. “The new windows have made the space brighter and more comfortable, and in winter it will be much warmer — which is important both for doctors and patients. We are grateful to DTEK Renewables for not turning their back on community healthcare, especially in such a challenging time for the country.”
The project was implemented within the framework of a social partnership with the Berezanka village council, which has identified healthcare modernization as a key priority in its local development strategy.
“Unity helps us not only resist the enemy but also survive and care for our health together. I would like to thank everyone for supporting and understanding our initiatives, and to extend special thanks to our partners for their significant contribution to this project,” said acting Head of the Village Council Iryna Hopainych.
