At the request of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, DTEK Renewables provided two shelters for Mykolaiv. The city is shelled by the occupiers almost every day, but many of our compatriots continue to live there - therefore, the need for safe shelters for the citizens is quite significant.
These concrete shelters are reinforced and have the necessary certification. Each shelter has 15 seats for short-term stays. Shelters can protect against potential debris or a blast wave.
"DTEK Renewables systematically provides humanitarian aid to Mykolaiv region, in particular to the regional center, as well as to the Kobleve and Berezanka communities. We have been supporting them since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and by this time the amount of aid is more than 16 million UAH. So we did not stand aside again, because we understand that it is necessary to create conditions to save life and health of people in Mykolaiv," said Oleg Solovei, the director of DTEK Tyligulska WPP.
Famous Kyiv artists Vitaliy Gidevan (Gide1) and Olena Noyna (Noyna) also joined support to Mykolayiv. Murals will be applied to the shelter. The artists' task is to show through the mural that the light will win.
"This is our fastest project, the preparation of which took one day, and in the evening we were already on the train to Odessa. The first picture shows a child sending a boat sailing. A picture of a peaceful future where every child can walk outside without fear and enjoy autumn. The second picture shows a girl on the shore of our Black or Azov seas, where tourists can relax peacefully, and the family meets its defenders. One feature that unites these two paintings is wind farms, which we will definitely rebuild, because light will always win!" - commented Vitaly Gidevan.
