In the village of Krasnopillia, part of the Berezanka village council, the renovation of the courtyard and steps at the local lyceum has been completed. The project was funded by DTEK Renewables as part of its Social Partnership Program with the community, with an investment of UAH 875,936.
The renovated area covers nearly 750 square meters. It is now a more convenient and safer space for the lyceum’s 82 students, as well as the children from the nearby kindergarten, who use the shelter located on the school grounds.
This year, the lyceum is celebrating its 50th anniversary — and the upgraded courtyard has become a symbolic gift to mark the occasion.
“Despite the challenges of war, we remain committed to our promises under the social partnership program. Creating a comfortable environment for children’s education and development is a priority for our company. Educational initiatives are a key pillar of our community support efforts. We believe such projects not only improve infrastructure but also play an essential role in delivering quality education,” said Oleh Solovey, Director of DTEK Tyligulska WPP.
During the project, more than UAH 40,000 was saved, which will be used to purchase additional benches and bins for the school grounds — making the courtyard even more comfortable for students and teachers.
Last year, under the same program, DTEK Renewables allocated UAH 729,629 to improve energy efficiency at the Krasnopillia Lyceum. These funds were used to install 59 new windows and 3 entrance doors, significantly enhancing learning conditions.
“We are sincerely grateful to DTEK Renewables for supporting our community. Thanks to the timely completion of this project, our students will be able to celebrate the last bell ceremony in a newly renovated courtyard. We especially value that the company stands by us, always helping solve our pressing issues. We truly feel like one team,” said Inna Kretsu, Head of Krasnopillia village.
DTEK Renewables continues to invest in sustainable community development through projects in education, healthcare, and other key areas — building the foundation for a brighter future. In 2024 and early 2025, the company’s total contribution to community social projects in the Mykolaiv region has reached nearly UAH 6 million.
Additionally, with financial support from DTEK Renewables and in partnership with the Shakhtar Social Foundation, the children’s football program “Come On, Play!” continues in Kobleve and Berezanka, promoting youth sports development.
