On August 28, a ceremonial handover of a new school bus took place in the village of Anatolivka, Mykolaiv region. The bus was purchased with funding from DTEK Renewables as part of the company’s social partnership with the Kobleve community. To ensure a safe and comfortable journey to school, the community received a modern bus equipped with seat belts and comfortable seating.
The event was attended by children and their parents, community representatives, and company employees. Representing DTEK Renewables at the event was Maksym Bohadytsia, Chief Power Engineer of DTEK Tyligulska Wind Farm.
“DTEK Renewables is a reliable partner for the Kobleve community. As a socially responsible business, we constantly respond to the needs of the communities where we operate. The bus we are handing over today is part of our commitments outlined in the Social Partnership Program with the Kobleve community. We sincerely wish the children safe and comfortable journeys, new knowledge, and joyful experiences,” said Maksym Bohadytsia, Chief Power Engineer of DTEK Tyligulska Wind Farm.
During the ceremony, children received gifts from DTEK Renewables, and most importantly — they were the first to ride the new bus and see what their daily trip to school would look like. The children’s joy and the parents’ smiles became the best confirmation of how important this project is for the entire community.
“A few years ago, DTEK Renewables began its cooperation with the Kobleve community. For us, it is important not only to develop renewable energy, but also to take care of people in the regions where we operate. The modern bus that the community received today is an example of how social partnership helps address real community needs. We want children to travel to school safely and comfortably every day, and for parents to feel confident about their well-being,” noted Oleh Solovei, Deputy CEO of DTEK Renewables.
The new bus will provide free daily transportation for students and teachers, ensuring continuity of the educational process and creating equal opportunities for children from the small village. For the community, this means children will study in safe and comfortable conditions.
“This year has been a real challenge for us, as we went through the difficult process of changing our educational institution. But despite all the obstacles, we look back with gratitude and forward with hope. We sincerely thank DTEK Renewables for supporting Ukraine’s energy system and keeping the lights on in people’s homes — as well as for caring about social responsibility and supporting rural children. To our students, we wish a happy journey towards knowledge and new achievements!” said Svitlana Taloha, Secretary of the Kobleve Village Council.
Since the beginning of its cooperation with the Kobleve community in 2019, DTEK Renewables has funded a number of social initiatives. The company will continue to support the communities where its enterprises operate.
