A new modular outpatient clinic has been operating for two months in the village of Starozavodske, Pokrovske community, Nikopol district. The facility was established as part of a social partnership between DTEK Renewables and the Pokrovske Village Council.
Through this project, the community received a modular building, modern medical equipment, furniture, and everything necessary to provide quality primary healthcare —critically important for residents of remote villages. The new clinic is fully equipped to admit patients, carry out diagnostics, provide emergency care, and store medicines. It ensures access to basic medical services close to home, which is especially valuable in wartime.
“For DTEK Renewables, it is important to support initiatives that have a practical impact on people’s lives. The modular outpatient clinic in Starozavodske is the result of close cooperation with the community and local authorities. Thanks to our joint efforts, villagers now have access to basic medical care right next to their homes. It’s a simple but significant improvement in the community’s everyday life,” said Volodymyr Shuliatskyi, Director of DTEK Nikopol Solar Power Plant.
“Previously, there was no medical facility in Starozavodske, and people had to travel to the neighboring village to see a family doctor. For a community with many elderly residents, as well as patients suffering from the consequences of strokes and progressive cardiovascular diseases, having a clinic nearby is critically important. Now, medical care is much closer — the family doctor holds consultations every week at the modular outpatient clinic,” commented Inna Shestak, Head of the Department of Health and Social Protection of the Pokrovske Village Council.
The total cost of the project amounted to almost UAH 2.8 million. These funds were used over several years to purchase and install the modular building, acquire the necessary medical equipment and furniture, and improve the area surrounding the facility.
DTEK Renewables consistently supports the communities where it operates. The company’s social partnership with the communities of Nikopol district has been ongoing since 2019. During this time, in addition to the modular outpatient clinic, DTEK Nikopol SPP has financed a number of important projects: the repair and installation of a water supply system in the village of Volia (formerly Chkalove), the purchase of a school bus for children from Starozavodske, the repair of the roof and heating system of Oleksiivka Secondary School, the replacement of windows in the lyceums of Volia and Mozolevske, as well as the provision of humanitarian aid to residents in 2022–2023 years. Together with our partners, we strive to create a safe and comfortable living environment.
