Employees of DTEK Renewables and the company’s enterprises collected and delivered forty-seven boxes of essential household items for Kobleve local community. The essentials, mainly hygiene products and household chemicals, as well as warm clothes and shoes, were collected by power engineers in Kyiv, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions. The campaign was held as part of the Volunteer Day project, which actually was prolonged for weeks - colleagues tried to personally choose, buy and bring as much as possible.
The collected aid was delivered to Kobleve local community in Mykolaiv region for its residents and temporary migrants in need.
"When the company announced the Volunteer Day, many of our colleagues joined the activities in Kyiv - weaving camouflage nets and making trench candles for DTEK employees who are currently serving in the armed forces at the frontline. But there was another part of it - collecting necessary items for those in need. Just before the campaign, the representatives of Kobleve village council requested us for help, as their community welcomed many people from Kherson region who were forced to leave their homes during the war and after the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant tragedy," says Oleg Solovei, Director of DTEK Tyligulska Wind Farm. - I hope that the warmth and love with which our employees collected and bought these items will reach everyone who receives this aid".
Since russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, DTEK Renewables has provided humanitarian aid to communities in Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions worth over UAH 23 million. The donated goods include power generators, food kits, medicines, building materials to restore damaged buildings, drinking water and containers for its storage, a mobile water purifier, lanterns and other.
