DTEK Renewables and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation handed over 6,000 food kits to Pokrovske village community of Nikopol district
The Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK Renewables delivered six thousand boxes of food kits for the residents of Pokrovske village territorial community in Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region.
Humanitarian support will be provided to the most vulnerable categories of people that live in the community - the elderly, large families, people with disabilities, and others. Each product kit contains wheat flour, pasta, groats, sugar, salt, stewed meat and pate, canned beans and cookies. The kits are already being distributed among the residents of the community, which suffers from enemy shelling every day.
“Nikopol district has been under fire from enemy troops for more than six months now. Recently, our communities were included in the combat zone, so today all categories of the population are vulnerable, - says Valentyna Mostyka, acting head of the Pokrovske village council. - Recently, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK Renewables delivered us 42 tons of food products. We are glad to get such a support, because it is very difficult for people, especially old people, to survive in war conditions today. We are already delivering products to the villages of the community for those who cannot get to the distribution points on their own".
Since February 24, 2022, 800 000 food kits from the Foundation will be handed over to the residents of Ukraine. Assistance is provided within the "Rinat Akhmetov - Saving Lives" program.
