DTEK Renewables specialists have developed and handed over the design documentation for the construction of a 2 MW solar power plant to the Hlobyne City Council. The implementation of this project will allow the community to take a step towards the development of distributed generation in the region and provide budgetary savings.
The design documentation envisages that the solar power plant will be located on the communal lands of the community, which are located next to industrial areas and are not used for agriculture.
‘Our engineers have used their best experience in developing solar power plants to design the solar farm upon the request of the Hlobyne City Council. It was important for us to achieve high performance of the solar power plant, in accordance with the possibilities of location and connection. The SPP was designed in accordance with the memorandum of cooperation with the community. This is yet another confirmation that DTEK Renewables is a reliable partner and the implementation of the large-scale Poltavska WPP project benefits the community,' said Oleh Solovei, Deputy CEO of DTEK Renewables.
The SPP designed for the Hlobyne City Council will consist of more than 3,700 solar panels and will be able to generate 2.5 million kWh of electricity. This amount of generation is equivalent to the annual consumption of 1.3 thousand households.
The plant's operation will also bring environmental benefits after its construction, as it will help reduce carbon emissions by 3.1 kt annually.
