On 4 July, DTEK Tyligulska Wind Power Plant welcomed a delegation from Denmark, led by Iben Møller Søndergaard, Deputy Director General of the Danish Energy Agency (DEA).
The visit took place as part of the ongoing construction of the second phase of the Tyligulska WPP, which is being implemented with the support of our Danish partners. Thanks to state guarantees provided by the state-owned Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO), at the beginning of 2025 DTEK Renewables secured €370 million in loans to fund the second phase of the project. This financing enabled the launch of large-scale construction works, which are currently underway.
Our Danish partners from the DEA visited the site to observe the progress of the project and to see first-hand how the cooperation between Ukraine and Denmark in the field of green energy is being brought to life.
Oleksandr Selyshchev, CEO of DTEK Renewables, commented: “We highly value the support of our Danish partners, who believe in Ukraine and the future of Ukrainian energy. This project is not only about new megawatts — it’s about trust, partnership, and a shared vision of the future. We are open to further cooperation and deeply grateful for the contribution Denmark is making to the development of sustainable energy in our country.”
Iben Møller Søndergaard, Deputy Director General of the DEA, said: “It was a great joy to see the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant and the Vestas turbines, a shining example of how international cooperation can drive the transition to clean, sustainable energy. This project not only strengthens Ukraine’s energy independence but also reinforces our shared commitment to a greener future. We look forward to continuing our partnership and contributing to the growth of renewable energy."
Upon completion of the second phase, Tyligulska WPP will reach a capacity of 500 MW, making it one of the largest renewable energy facilities in Ukraine. It will enable the annual generation of clean electricity enough to meet the needs of 900,000 Ukrainian households every year.
